My wife has been distant since 2000 and no sex since 2004. I do have “parkinsons disease” and for a while had to take something the doctor prescribed to make a part of me work but don’t need it anymore since my part works fine again. Still no sex and she is gone for a long while on her days off shopping and such. No closeness just indifference. Any advice?More to her actions but too much to put here. Lets just say phone calls from other men and such. Brusises on her inner thighs, strange cars go by at all hours and stop in my driveway(that was going on while i was unable to get out of bed at night, has not happened in a long while, since I can get out of bed when I want to now.). All I want is proof for me to make sure I am not being overly suspious. Can’t divorce her as I will need someone to take care of me when I get bad. She told me that no one would want me anyway. Just need a little advice.

Parkinson’s Disease – a Quick Guide

Here we are discussing a disease that around fifty thousand Americans are diagnosed with every year. That disease is Parkinson’s disease. Usually its people over 60 that are diagnosed with this, but people can get it before the age of 40. Once you get over the age of about 60, Parkinson’s will be on the radar of doctors when new symptoms appear that are indicative of the disease. According to one piece of research Parkinsons is more prevalent in men than in women. This disease is an incurable disease affecting the patient’s nervous system where the neuro-transmitters inside the brain start to malfunction, causing shaking in the body and limbs that gets progressively more pronounced as time goes by.

Other symptoms include slowing of movement and rigidity of muscles. Non-tremor symptoms of Parkinson’s can include relative immobility of body sections particularly the face which can be seen as a blank look or mask-like lack of expression. When brain cells deteriorate, one outcome is Parkinson’s disease This degenerative disorder is not passed genetically, nor is it contagious and very little information is known about what causes this condition. Having said all that, Parkinson’s has been known to be brought on by severe drug abuse or certain types of head injury. Strangely, according to research, cigarette smokers appear to have less of a chance of developing Parkinson’s disease, which has led experts to believe the probability that nicotine has some protective qualities against the fluctuations caused by Parkinson’s disease. So smoking has a benefit after all.

The latest news is that new treatments for Parkinson’s disease are at the leading edge of current studies, with experiments being carried out with stem cells and gene therapy. The diagnosis of Parkinson’s is a distressing time for any patient and anybody close to them. As a progressive condition, patients suffering with the condition have to come to terms with the fact that there is no hope of recovery, but rather a gradual process of loss of movement and co-ordination. An early diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease is vital to the patient being able to keep some independence, and a decent quality of life for a reasonable length of time.

Do you think Nancy Reagan is a hero for embracing stem cell research? I think she’s a hypocrite. Her and her hubby did all that they could to block advances in that area. They used their influence to block research that could’ve potentially saved lives, thus causing untold suffering. All of the sudden, Ronnie gets REALLY REALLY sick, and Nancy is all the sudden a pro-choice liberal who is all for stem cell research.
It’s like I always say: Put a conservatives back up against the wall, and watch how quickly they embrace liberal ideals.
here is one answer i received from loubean:
It’s the same with any celebrity. Do you think Michael J. Fox lobbied for stem cell research and the like BEFORE he had Parkinsons disease? And…he’s a liberal! Yipes..didn’t mean to out one from your side….and Nancy Reagan never turned into a liberal..don’t insult her like that.

The point is, Fox was never against the research..the Reagans were, until they could benefit. Loubean is retarded

Is it possible to mitigate the effects of Parkinson’s disease? Neurologist Daniela Berg and her research team in Tübingen are trying to answer that question. They are using a method involving ultrasound to detect the disease in its early stages and pinpoint the loss of nerve cells in parts of the brain. It’s hoped that this procedure will enable doctors to use drugs to slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease as well, ultimately making it possible to prevent degenerative brain diseases.

My grandfather has parkinsons disease and because of his hand shaking so much, he is unable to hold up a book anymore. He really loves reading, so obviously this makes him very sad :( So I’ve been trying to find something that he could maybe put on his lap to prop up the book, or something along thoes lines. If you could give me some help with this it would be greatly appreciated. :)
