Suzi C asked:

Heya!:)

Righto, long story short (ish) Im 17, boarding with ‘family friends’(elderly couple whom ive known since i was 15 months old) my dad is paying the board money $150 nz dollars a week, i cant live with my mum as she has Multiple Sclerosis and we fight too much. And dads a workaholic who wont let me move home.

Anyway this couple i live with, lets just call her D, and call him J. J has parkinsons disease. D is a crazy 69 year old bat who thinks ‘the world wouldnt go round without her’.

Im doing homeschool ALONE and she wont leave me alone, but when she does, she leaves me with J all day every day to babysit.

We have fleas infesting the house, also ants. and she nver gets my groceries. NO idea where dad’s moneys going.

Anyway, any suggestions as to what to do? Id LOVE to live on my own somewhere (im that kind of person…) i can cook clean shop look after myself etc etc…

but no1 wants a 17 yr old!

also, theres a ‘refugee’ (literally, shes from sri lanka, but has a job,and a flat…) moving in here soon. and dad still wont let me move home!!! argh my god. D always criticizes my parents and lectures me.

If i was a weak person she would have complete control over me.

But im not.

So now i need some advice as to either A: deal with her, or B:where to go…

Hypochondriac advise?

Nestea asked:

Over the past 5 years, i haave thought that i had a brain tumor, diabetes, als, various cancers, aids/hiv, parkinsons disease, and melanoma(s), and a bunch of other stuff.. I do admit to watching every house episode, in addition to scrubs, and all other medical shows. I just found out that theres a condition that explains, that, called hypochondriasis. Anyone have any tips for me if i get anymore worried thoughts or breakdowns.
Also. i forgot to mention that i wanna be a doctor when i grow up, and i love reading and learning about medicine. Does that kind of “trap” me?

My Fathers Heart?

NOBODY123 asked:

Hello,
My Father has Parkinsons Disease. He takes 1 1/2 sinemet(25/100 strength) every 2 hours throughout the day, 1 flomax(0.4mg) in the morning, 1 levthyroxine(0.05mg)in the morning(to increase his thyroid function, it was low) and at bedtime he takes 1 clozapine(25mg) and 1 lorazepam(1mg).
A year ago his blood pressure dropped so low he started passing out and was prescribed midodrine(2.5mg) to raise his blood pressure. That worked fine as I gave it to him every two hours and he was fine. I monitor his blood pressure throughout the day and it is usually within acceptable range. About two months ago after taking it the reading was 205/69 with the pulse at 70.
Right after he wakes up his blood pressure is about 86/45 pulse 70 and then three or four hours later it’s 105/58 pulse 82 and then in the evening it rises to 151/55 pulse 58 and up to the 200/55. We discontinued the Midodrine.
What could be causing the hypertension symptoms? Is 80/33 Dangerous? What can we do?Thank U!
