Any Breeders of “fancy” Manx/rex Ever Heard of This Problem?
One of my female manx mice, affectionately known as “spaz” one day out of the blue seemed as though she was having fits, then she calmed down but has never been the same since, it’s almost as if she has Parkinsons Disease. I don’t know whether it’s relevant or not, but about a month after she started “spazming” a hole appeared in her side, it was almost a perfectly round hole that went into her flesh, you could see her flesh at the bottom of the hole, it was about 0.5mm in diameter, but it just healed straight back up. She lost a bit of weight after that, but she still spazms. I have no idea what it is?
Also, one of my female rex mice was perfectly normal, then all of a sudden, she started endlessly running around their cage, she never stops aside from when she’s eating or drinking, but even then, she kind of twitchs, like she’s fidgiting! She’s been doing it for about a week now…. But they both function, eat, sleep, drink and play! It’s totally bizare! Help me please?
Seems like I wasn’t kidding myself when I thought that it was weird and rare!!!!

Sounds pretty crazy! I really have no idea. maybe call your vet if they work with rodents for answers. the hole may of been from when she was spazzing and hurt herself, or, in humans there has abeen a skin eating disease that eats randomly all over in holes but it probably wouldv’t of been worse that that. I guessing something from her cage may of hit her hard.
Good luck with it. I think it may be rare to.
