Can Parkinson’s Disease Be Cured by Praying to Pope John Paul II?
A question from marybuko: Can Parkinson’s disease be cured by praying to Pope John Paul II?
French nun Sister Marie Simon-Pierre was cured from Parkinson’s disease after praying to Pope John Paul II to be healed. It was ‘scientifically inexplicable’ why she recovered from the incurable disease because there is no cure for Parkinson’s. And because of the miracle, John Paul II will be beautified by the Vatican in May.
My father was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, so is it possible for my father to also be miraculously healed by praying to Pope John Paul II?

Yes it can
It was scientifically inexplicable according to a panel of medics who just happen to work for the Vatican. The real question is do you want those people treating your dad?
You do that.
let us know what happens.
No, for that you need stem cells.

It’s not possible.
Yup. Along with AIDS, herpes, shingles, cancer, MS, MD, Polio, Small Pox, Ebola, etc…
I have suspected ALS (MND) I don’t think I will cancel my hospital appt on monday 7th when I should get the latest test results
If i have 3-5yrs left I won’t waste a single minute of it begging some old git or his imaginary dad in the sky to do me a favour
Prayer is a waste of time. Do you really think god created diseases and wants us to pray for him to cure those same diseases? Pretty sick and twisted magic sky fairy.
Your body can fight all disease if you feed it properly. Get a nutritionist and a trainer to find holistic ways to cure disease. They do exist.
Jesus taught us to pray “Our Father, who art in heaven”. He never taught us to pray to saints or Mary.
Ooooooooooh the temptation……….
Its ‘beatified’. Nothing could make him ‘beautiful’.
It was also “scientifically inexplicable” why they claimed she was suffering from it to start with.
I think he should be the patron saint of snipers, since he claims it was a Sainted Dead Nun who deflected the bullet.
You might wish to pray to him privately. It can also be cured by praying the rosary daily and attentively as part of a novena, and fasting. The Virgin Mary is Our Lady of Good Health, and can cure diseases, in cases where it is God’s will.

Not too likely. Get a good doctor and pray directly to God.
I don’t think that’s possible. I mean, since you have to keep your hands together to pray…
Don’t waste time praying
dont get wishy-washy. If the nun can do it, you can do it too. Start praying the Holy Rosary and ask JP11′s intercession.
Dear Friend,
Unless John Paul gave GOD… ALL THE PRAISE AND GLORY…then the answer is NO! And man is never to be recognized by being used of God. He is just a man (or a woman). The Apostle Paul shunned those who were putting ‘him’ on a pedestal and not recognizing Christ.
If John Paul gets the honor and praise in May…then God almighty got PUSHED out of the way. God will not share His glory with any man.
All that Pope & catholic stuff is totally bullshit…why the hell would one person be more “holier” than another person
i had a friend diagnosed with parkinson’s disease. a year later, he had no symptoms and the same doctor who diagnosed him said that it was possible that what he thought was parkinson’s, could have been parkinsonism. not really parkinson’s at all. chemical exposure, certain drugs, maybe even misfires in the brain. parkinson’s disease can be treated, sometimes quite effectively, and at times it can almost seem like you never had it, but if you have it, it is still there, and will always be there. the nun you speak of probably had parkinsonism, not true parkinson’s. parkinsonism goes away, when you eliminate the chemical or drug exposure. i sincerely do understand your concerns, and respect your hopefulness, it’s not fun to see full symptoms and it is frightening for the patient as the disease progresses. i know, i’ve had two family members suffer from it and know three others who have it. keep your hope, and pray to god that science one day will develope a treatment to reverse the damage that causes it.
