I have an elderly uncle, he is about 55 and he has parkinsons disease. So he has to take alot of medicine. He always forgets to take his medicine, and he confuses himself on which meds to take. He is constantly having hallucinations. My dad, mom, brother, my cousin, and I are my Uncle’s only family. My parents are always working, my cousin, brother and I go to school. We need to find a way so that we know if anything happens to him while we are at school and work, that he can have help. We were thinking of hiring a person to take care of him, but it was priced at $1000 a week, and we cannot afford that. My uncle also will not go to a nursing home or anything like it. Is there any other options?

There was something like a necklace/bracelet that when he needs help he pushes the button, but none of us would be available to help him if he had that.
Thanks!

adult day care
The only answer that I can think of, is that out of the working people – someone has to change their shifts so someone can be with him 24/7. a pill box with the days of the weeks and morning, noon, afternoon, and evening on it will help.
