I’ve been experiencing stiff joints especially around the finger joints. Also, some back pain and knee pain. I’m only 20. Will these symptoms disappear or am I having athritis? I’ve visited the docter and I was told not to worry but that I should see a physiotheraphist just for my knees. What about the other areas like my finger joints, elbows, and my back? Has anyone experienced these pains before and will they eventually go away? Are these signs of Parkinsons? Please help.

I had knee pain in high school. It ended up being because I was overweight so I lost a few pounds and the pain stopped.
If you type all day that could be the reason for your fingers hurting.
It’s probably the fact that yer low in calcium perhaps? I suggest you get a second opinion from another doctor, because if this is the early signs of Parkinsons you really….REALLY want to get on top of it.
sorry to hear about this – i am experiencing pain in my left knee and lower left back, and im only 25. i asked this question on yahoo answers and was told it might be osteoporosis, but in some cases it can be due to weight problems. have you seen a specialist? im in canada waiting for my medical card, so i cant even see a doctor, it would cost me so much. good luck and hope u feel better soon, keep warm.
My brother-in-law has this and it started when he was in his twenties. At thirty they diagnosed him with rheumatoid arthritis. I also know another guy who has it and he is only 28. I would have your doctor check for it!

Rheumatoid arthritis is the #1 crippler of young adults in America. I have had osteoarthritis since I was 16. The physiotherapist could help weather it is from strain, lack of exercise, or arthritis. BUT you need to know the cause.
You are definitely suffering from acute arthritis which is curable. All you need is anti-inflammatory medicine and everything will be fine. I wouldn’t suggest Parkinson – its more an old age disease.
There could be multiple reasons for this. Rheumatoid arthritis but this usually presents itself severely, osteoarthritis which is wearing on the joints, overuse of the joint or for knees and back being overweight. Are you taking any herbal supplements that you have forgotten to mention? The side effects can be stiff joints. Osteoporosis is not noted for causing pain, it is kind of a silent ailment and the first sign is a stress fracture. These are NOT symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. As a final thought if you are depressed, have a lot of stress in your life you could be developing this as a coping mechanism.

make sure you are getting all of the nutrients you need and eating healthy and getting some exercise. definitely get the appointment with the therapist to check out your knees, but it definitely sounds like there is more going on, like rheumatoid arthritis, so let the therapist know what’s going on. They can check it out and give their opinion to the doctor…
Any joint stiffness will stimulate the accumulation of crystalline substances, to eventually become arthritic. Since you include a back problem, it would be advisable to get in to see a doctor of Chiropractic.. He can make an appropriate diagnosis and create the proper treatment regimen.
