I’m Worried I Have Parkinson’s Disease!!?
Question by Bailie: I’m worried I have parkinson’s disease!!?
I have OCD and it just became a habit that I need to move one part of my body a few times. My friend was sitting on me, and I just felt the need to move or wiggle. I don’t even know why. I looked up the symptoms of parkinson’s disease on webmd.com and i don’t have any of the symptoms, but i don’t understand why i have this urge to move sometimes.

Urges are part of OCD – but I can also understand what you mean by having the urge to move especially when you feel constrained. I think that’s normal.

Your OCD, its possible you could also be ADHD. I know sometimes i feel like wiggling XD maybe its just pressure points, and by moving relives them. Have you ever sat in a chair long and you had to move? Good luck, but i can tell you thats nothing like parkinson’s disease. You dont control your movements, they control you.
Parkinson’s disease has more symptoms than that. OCD can play a large role in making you believe you have something even when you don’t. You should see a doctor about it. He/She might be able to refer you to a psychologist or a psychiatrist to treat it.
Parkinsons is NOT the urge to wiggle.
It’s an illness that attacks the nervous system and causes you to shake wheather you want to or not.
I understand you have OCD, but surely you are bright enough not to be a hypochondriac as well!
